Pastafariaism
Seriously this cracked me up, then I thought anout its implications and it was a little less funny. It has a back link to the earlier article too. Even a Wikipedia page, which Is probably my most favorite information site.
Just thought I'd share.

What implications would make it less funny? I think it's a hoot.
ID isn't scientific, so it shouldn't be taught as such in schools--the Pastafanarians are just poking fun at them for their insistence that it should be.
ID is a theory. Evolution is a theory. The Meatball Monster creator is a theory. When we begin adding theories upon theories where do we stop.
I know where I stand and feel that my scientific knowledge is backed by faith. Of course then all three of these theories use faith to augment what they scientifically can prove. No human was here when the earth began. We have no written records, and the earth itself has left ambigious clues as to its origin.
But the word Theory as used by ID and Meatball Monster gang is different from how it's used in a scientific sense.
